Beth's Bear CollectionI started with a few bears and soon found many I had to have. My interest is not in age and rarity but in the personality of the bears which I costume and arrange with accessories like tools, books, and toys. I also collect chairs, benches, and wheeled toys for the bears. The chairs have become a collection in their own right. I have rocking chairs, rustic chairs, wire ice cream parlor chairs, love seats, an upholstered chair, and an Adirondack chair. The bears and their chairs now cover the bed, several shelves and even the floor. This can be a problem when I have guests since this is also a guest room. You will meet some of my favorite bears below. **Note** While none of the bears displayed on this page are for sale, I have some duplicates from my collection listed in my online booth, Do you remember this? at GoAntiques cyber mall. Follow this link to see an overview of my inventory on GoAntiques or to purchase items. Thanks for looking. |

| On the left is Teddy 95, my second Beanie Baby bear. When I bought the first one four years ago no one told me they would be valuable some day so I cut off all the TY tags and removed the ribbon and dressed it like an angel. It is cute! The second was a gift that I had forgotten about until all the publicity. The bear in a green daisy sweater sits on a rustic style chair. | My sister calls this large bear in real child's Mary Jane shoes "Big Bertha". She is sitting in her own ice cream parlor wire chair which is almost hidden by her bulk. | This bear with his tongue hanging out is goofy but appealing. When you squeeze him he talks. |
